Burrowing deep to find trackers
The team on Gough Island are out checking Great Shearwater nests for the geolocators deployed last year!
It's a great feeling every time the team find a geolocator. These tiny loggers record the ambient light levels, when analyzed, they create a track of the bird's journey over the last year. These data contribute to understanding the movements of these birds in order to protect their foraging areas.
